  2. Super Mario Galaxy – The classic plumber is always a kid favorite. The platforming here is perfect, just as it always has been. The big bonus here, is now Mario’s in SPACE. And the resulting physics & gravity based puzzles, are nothing short of brilliance.
Boom Blox – A unique puzzle title, at it’s heart, Boom Blox is all about what every kid did in his room with wooden blocks. Building giant towers, and then knocking them to the ground. Building hundreds of puzzles around this very concept, Boom Blox is a perfect game alone, or in multiplayer (which only requires a single remote).

And a tip – Don’t buy ANY game without doing research. Just a quick search of the game on Metacritic.com will give you the perfect image of the game’s quality.

  3. I’d recommend Mario Kart Wii. It comes with a steering wheel so it has a natural feel for any young or new gamer. Anyone can pick it up and play.

  4. Definitely Wii Sports, the game that was included with the Wii. My little cousins are still playing that game.

  7. my 3 girls are still playing Wii Sports more than anything else. We have Mario Kart, which can be fun but they never beat the Wii so it’s demoralising I guess. It’s good because of the multiplayer, and Miss 4 can sit there and have a go and it doesn’t matter if she loses, unlike other games which require full participation from all players.

Have tried a few others but they weren’t hooked. A year later tennis and bowling on Wii Sports are still their favourites. They got Wii Music for Xmas which they also enjoy – but can be annoying if you’re in the room with them!! Wii Fit also good for kids, the balance games and yoga are excellent for them (and us grown ups too!)
